This property is located in the village of Haria, 200m from César Manrique's home. It sits on a very large plot, perfect for planting a garden. Haría is a beautiful green oasis, fondly known as the Valley of a Thousand Palms. Traditionally, palms would be planted to mark the birth of a child; two for each boy, and one for each girl. The name Haría translates as “would do” which is thought to have originated from the natives who called it Faria, which could in turn be a derivation of Chafariz, which means spring of water. History tells us that Haría was the second most populated area on the island after Teguise because of it's fertile land. The town suffered terribly in a pirate attack on the 1st August 1586, when Algerian pirate Morato Arráez raided the livestock, ransacked the town  and burned down the palm trees. The tunnels within the Cueva de los Verdes provided sanctuary for the residents who would hide there to escape the pirates. Haría's beautiful scenery makes it popular with walkers and mountain bikers who take advantage of the many paths in the area. At the top of Mirador del Haría is a path that leads to the Bosquecillo, Lanzarote's only forest and picnic area, a lovely walk up from the town. For the more adventurous, there is a path that clings to the Riscos de Famara, connecting Mirador del Río to Playa Famara.
