Playa Blanca boasts some of the best beaches on the island such as the ones located at Papagayo, Flamingo and Playa Dorada; plus the vibrant area of Marina Rubicon. The seafront walkway stretches all along the bay of Playa Blanca. There is an excellent local bus service which runs from the lighthouse to Papagayo. It is easy to access the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura via the regular ferry service.
